Focus on Life: Week 27 - Textures

It's week 27 of the Focusing on Life: 52 Photos challenge and Sally from The Studio Sublime gave us the prompt:  Textures.
"We touch a lot of stuff through out the day.  Ever notice how many different textures your fingertips feel?  Probably not.  Unless you're purposely feeling something for its texture we really don't pay attention. This week focus on how things feel, and then snap a picture of that texture!"

Texture from the 'moss' on the rock wall inside the kitchen at the cabin

I'm up at my sis's cabin hanging with my family for the 4th of July weekend and there's tons of textures around here - really cool textures, too!

cabin and had to be cut down
Now, hop on over to the Studio Sublime and catch a glimpse of all the wonderful textures every one else has captured this week!

And, then here's some texture from Italy, know I couldn't resist!

Until Next Time,
Peace, Love and Texture Happy!

**I'm having trouble with the internet up here at my sis's cabin, so I'll be sure to comment and visit everyone's blogs this week after we return!! **Sorry about that**

  1. Great textures, Really liked the first two. Such detail!

  2. Awesome textures, Shel! Hope you're having a great time!

  3. Beautiful textures - I just love that lichen, and you've photographed it beautifully. Your texture from Italy is fab too - I love the contrast of the different stone - it makes a great photo.

  4. Oh, that's some totally lovely texture! In the kitchen!? That scares me a bit, but I suppose that's cabin life. I hope you're having fun!

    1. I should have taken a pic of the entire wall - it's really cool looking and is supposed to be like that. But if mold or moss was really growing on the kitchen walls I'd be 'outta there'!! LOL!!

    1. Thanks Mary! I loved your Mimosa tree bark over on your blog - very cool. I tried to comment, but silly me didn't see any comment button or way to leave one - sorry about that!! My brother from Navarre called and said the same thing you did about rain/flooding in Florida this 4th of July weekend - two inches in under an hour or so - it was crazy he said!! Hope you got things under control and dried out!!

  6. Wonderful texture, Shel! That moss is fascinating.

  7. Thanks to all of you for your comments on my texture pics this week - I'm hopping around this week now trying to make it to everyone's blog to see their great textures and comment, too. :-)

  8. They really look like underwater shots. Little worlds waiting to be explored.

  9. What great shots, Shel! That first one, I was looking closely because it looked like a little gem in the middle of everything.

Sounds like you had a great weekend, too.

Thanks for sharing what you have to say - I love hearing your comments!
